Structure-Activity Relationship of Ceria Based Catalyst for Hydrogen Production

T he role of Sm addition on water gas shift performance Re/ceria was studied. A redox cycle between Ce4+ and Ce3+ ceria support by oxygen vacancies generation is one the elementary step in mechanism. In this work, we have attempted to enrich content at surface Re/doped enhance performance. The reaction carried out over Re/Sm-doped catalysts with different contents (0, 5, 10, 15 wt%). H2-TPR explained activity enhancement these due which lowered reduction temperature rhenium oxide species promoted ceria. results investigation presented that 1%Re/Ce10%SmO higher than other catalysts. influence increasing catalytic Re concluded be from enhancing then facilitate process surface.
